Who I Am

My name is Lani (pronounced Lonnie) I am a wife, Jim and I have been married 36 years. A mom of 4 and grandma to twin grandsons who own my heart. Being a Grandma is the best!. I was born in Long Beach, California and relocated to San Diego where I lived for 50 years. In 2020 we moved to Ohio to be closer to our grandsons. I was raised in a family of entrepreneurs. From my grandfather down, everyone had a side gig. Usually in sales and I was raised by the best. My mom was a very successful saleswomen and taught me everything she new. I tagged along to meetings, trainings and home parties. We called it Direct Sales back in the day. She was the best and I paid attention. I can book, sell and recruit and was very successful. Earning trips and prizes that were amazing. What I love to do the most is to train. Put me on a stage at a rally or a convention and let me train and teach, mostly ladies back then, how to be successful too. I retired from Direct Sales in 2009 to pursue other interests. It was a wonderful time in my life.

What I Do

I am currently opening my Creative Memories business. I love organizing my family pictures, getting them in albums, decorating the pages and journaling about the event. I am creating my families legacy in pictures. Weather you are just starting a scrapbook or you are a seasoned scrapbooking veteran, I love helping with the creative process. Creative Memories has such a diverse product line. Their product is amazing and the quality can't be beat. A couple of my favorites. The photo trimmer, the corner rounder, paper punches and of course the albums are the BEST!

Who I'd Love to Connect With

I would love to connect with that person who is just beginning their family photo legacy. From organizing their photos to picking out the album, I love the whole process. Of course if you are that seasoned scrapbooker, I am It happy to help you and also learn a few things from you as we go. I find it so rewarding when an album is finished and you can see from start to finish the story the pictures tell.

More About Me

I am proficient in Parkinson's Disease (16 year survivor) I was diagnosed at 43 which is considered early onset Parkinson's.. In February 2026 I underwent DBS Surgery to help improve my quality of life. It worked!. In 2010 our oldest son Jacob and I opened a Cupcake business.. Jake's Cakes and Sweet Treats. We also created amazing Wedding Cakes. Thanks to a client of ours and their desire to have decorated sugar cookies at their wedding, those were soon added to our menu. I loved helping a bride see her vision come to life. Jake's Cake's was a great success and so fun. Unfortunately Parkinson's Disease came along and ended my baking career. But on those days when I really miss it I bake for my friends and family. On August 17, 2025 our world came to an stop. Our son youngest son passed away. Jamie was 33, handsome, smart, funny and sarcastic. He was a son, Brother, Uncle and devoted friend. We will forever miss him and there will always be a spot where his sweet soul used to be. We have become involved with the American Foundation for the Prevention of Suicide. We will be walking for Jamie in The Out of The Darkness walk in October. We will volunteer whenever we are needed. I also have a passion for writing and have toyed with the idea of writing a book or a collection of my thoughts. You never know what the future will bring. I love a good quote: Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway. Earl Nightingale
